Seed Stones

Our Lady of the Stones is a poetic name for the primordial Earth Mother.

She is older than water, stronger than fire. She resides in cave walls, the soot of ancient fires, and the crumbling cliffs that circle the mountain pass.

She is eternal Presence, holding us in her gravity as we journey through this material realm.

Inspired by the ancient Venus figures of the neolithic period, Priestess Devanna carves prayers in goddess form into the soft black surface of tumbled river stones. These engraved, inspirited stones may be carried to the far corners of the earth (or to the back yard, the city park, the cemetery) and buried as a spell to co-create the Ancient Future.

What would the world look like if we seeded our prayers far and wide in this way, to cultivate the world garden we want to live in?
